However, when it comes to strategic planning, board engagement, volunteer involvement, and donor development, stepping back and allowing an external facilitator to lead a discovery session can be one of the most valuable decisions you make.

A discovery SPRINTs are like Sprints that happen around technology, but this one is centered around your mission, goal, event, or launch.
It is a structured, facilitated meeting where we work closely with your team to assess your nonprofit’s current operations and develop a roadmap for enhancing key areas, such as board engagement, new audiences, better revenue, volunteer involvement, and technology use for communications, partnerships, and donor acquisition.
Society's Bedrock Sprint clients leave with a plan designed to identify challenges, opportunities, and recommendations from our facilitator. The expert facilitate helps to bring your team together to provide actionable strategies tailored to your organization’s needs.
The discovery SPRINT is designed for executive directors, board chairs, and your key team members who are involved in the new project that you're launching, reimagining, or evaluating.
Our clients bring that team members who are the decision-makings in areas like board governance, community engagement, communications, marketing, fundraising, and volunteer partnerships.
You can bring up to 4 people from your organization who are most relevant to these topics. This could include your executive team, program directors, or department heads.
By the end of the session, you will have a comprehensive understanding of your current challenges and opportunities in key areas such as board governance, volunteer engagement, technology, and donor acquisition.
Our facilitator will provide you with SPRINT ReCap with actionable strategies and next steps for improving your launch, transition, or program sunset. Recommendations from the recap will summarize the discussed engagement efforts, streamlining operations, and ways to increase your impact with revenue.
You will also walk away with a roadmap that includes prioritized action items for implementation. If additional support is needed, we can continue to work with you on implementing these strategies or offer ongoing consulting services.
While no formal preparation is necessary, it is helpful if participants come prepared with any data or current materials related to the areas we’ll be discussing. For example, information about your current donor tracking, volunteer programs, marketing efforts, or upcoming calendar will provide useful context during the session.

After the discovery session, Society's Bedrock can provide continued support, whether it’s through follow-up check-ins with our coaching model, implementation assistance, or additional consultations. We have a monthly retainer fee based on your annual budget. Our goal is to ensure that the strategies discussed are successfully implemented and that your nonprofit continues to grow and thrive.
Starts at $990 for a half-day (3 hours) with up to 5 teammates. It's an additional $50 per added person.
The cost of the discovery session is determined based on the length and complexity of the session. We can provide you with a customized quote based on your needs and the number of participants. Our goal is to deliver maximum value, and we will work with you to ensure that the session fits within your budget.
